Florida Medicaid’s Covered Services and HCBS Waivers
Redirections
Redirection services are time-limited intensive community-based services that address the multiple determinants of behavioral disorders in juvenile offenders. The goal of these services is to “redirect” recipients from juvenile justice facilities to more effective, family-focused, evidence-based treatment options by receiving treatment services in the home and the community.
Medicaid reimburses for the following services:
- Case coordination
- Family therapy
- Group therapy
- Individual therapy
- Therapeutic Support
- Twenty-four hour crisis therapeutic support
Redirection Services is a fee-for-service program and is not offered by health plans serving Medicaid enrollees.
Eligibility
Medicaid recipients who meet the following criteria are eligible to enroll in the Redirection Services program:
- 18 years old or younger
- Have an emotional disturbance as defined in Chapter 394, F.S.
