Agency Contract Number: MED206
Current Contract Period: 3/9/2020 - 6/30/2023

The Florida Medicaid FPW program is a Section 1115 waiver demonstration approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). There are five objectives of the Family Planning Waiver program:
- Increase access to family planning services;
- Increase child spacing intervals through effective contraceptive use;
- Reduce the number of unintended pregnancies in Florida;
- Reduce Florida’s Medicaid costs by reducing the number of unintended pregnancies by women who otherwise would be eligible for Medicaid pregnancy-related services; and
- Improve or maintain health outcomes for the target population as a result of access to family planning services and/or family planning-related service.
The Vendor will evaluate the degree to which the program objectives are met.
