Home Medical Equipment (HME) Providers
Any person or entity that offers to sell or rent to a consumer any home medical equipment and provides equipment related services such as delivery, set up and maintenance of the equipment.

Pursuant to Florida Statutes 400.933(2)(a), the Agency shall accept, in lieu of its own periodic inspections for licensure, submission of the following: (a) The survey or inspection of an accrediting organization, provided the accreditation of the licensed home medical equipment provider is not provisional and provided the licensed home medical equipment provider authorizes release of, and the agency receives the report of, the accrediting organization An HME Provider physically located outside of Florida must submit documentation of accreditation in accordance with section 400.931(2), F.S.

Emergency Management Planning
- Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) Format for Home Medical Equipment (HME) Providers, AHCA Form 3110-1019, Dec. 06 – All licensed home medical equipment providers must prepare a CEMP. A copy of the plan must be submitted to the local county health department for each county listed on the provider’s license.
