Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) Services
Medicaid reimburses for prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC) services to provide non-residential short-term, long-term or intermittent medical care to recipients with medically-complex conditions.
This service is not one of the minimum covered services for managed care plans serving Medicaid enrollees.
Eligibility
Florida Medicaid recipients who meet the following criteria may receive Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) services:
- Are under the age of 21 years.
- Have complex medical needs
- Are medically stable
Payments/Co-Pays/Other
Medicaid reimburses fee-for-service providers in accordance with the service-specific fee schedule.
