Waiver Program Changes (PAC, TBI/SCI, ACF)
The 2017 Legislature amended the law to:
- Transition individuals enrolled in the Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury (TBI/SCI) and Adult Cystic Fibrosis (ACF) Waivers into the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-term Care program
- Allow individuals who are diagnosed with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) to obtain and maintain Medicaid coverage without the need for enrollment in the Project AIDS Care (PAC) Waiver.
These changes do not reduce or affect recipient’s access to the Florida Medicaid services they need. Since implementation in January 2018, the Agency continues its commitment to working with recipients, providers, and stakeholders to ensure that recipients are appropriately served.
