Recipient eligibility for Medicaid is determined by the:
- Department of Children and Families, Office of Economic
Self Sufficiency - The Department of Children and Families determines eligibility for low-income children and family programs and the institutional care program.
- Social Security Administration - The Social Security Administration determines eligibility for the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program.
Each program has its own income and asset requirements.
